Don’t Let the Obstacles Intimidate You
Many of us see great mountains standing between us and the things we know God has for us. Many of us are aware of obstacles hindering our breakthroughs. What are you believing God for? A physical or emotional healing? Wisdom for a big decision? The restoration of a broken or struggling relationship? Financial provision? A miracle in the lives of wayward children? Salvation of a loved one?
May we meditate on the words God told Zerubbabel:
‘Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone with shouts of ‘Grace, grace to it!” (Zechariah 4:7).
Believe with me that God is going to level every mountain blocking your path, every obstacle in your way! Believe and don’t stop believing. No matter how long it’s been since you first began praying and believing for your miracle. No matter how impossible this breakthrough looks. If God gave you a promise – then hold on to that promise! If the Word of God says it’s yours – then it’s yours!
“For who has despised the day of small things?” (Zechariah 4:10)
Don’t be discouraged if things are moving slowly, or if there are only little signs of your prayers being answered so far. With eyes of faith – you can see that it IS surely coming! Remember when Elijah prayed for rain after an extended, deadly drought in Israel? The breakthrough began with just one small cloud in the sky, as small as a man’s hand. But he kept praying! And guess what? Before long the skies became black and soon there was heavy rain. The drought had officially ended.
And so, with you, my friend. Keep praying. Keep believing. Keep decreeing that your miracle is coming! And I bet with eyes of faith, you can (or will soon) see your cloud in the sky. It may be small right now, but it’s coming, and your prayers are filling up that cloud with rain. And soon enough, when God says it’s time, your drought (in the form of a struggle with health, finances, a relationship, your family, your career, etc.) will end and the rains of healing, refreshment, healing, provision, and deliverance will be upon you!
A Prayer:
Lord, we thank You that You are indeed working in our lives. We choose to trust and praise You even before the answer is delivered. We make the conscious decision to not be intimidated by any obstacles in our way. Thank You that our breakthrough is surely on its way. In Jesus’s holy name, amen.
